Seeing Johnny Burnette at The Majestic Ballroom on The Caversham Road and a Gene Vincent gig at The Olympia on London Street were signal moments in my life, growing up in Reading. My friend and soul sister, Rosie Flores, kept photos of Johnny and Gene on her music stand in the studio while she was recording her album Rockabilly Filly.
